Yesterday, WLCJ issued a statement of solidarity and support regarding the ongoing joint US–Israel military actions in Iran. As we approach Purim, we pray that the enduring threats against the Jewish people are thwarted, just as they were in ancient Persia. While we unequivocally stand behind efforts to safeguard Israel and promote regional stability, our Women's League sisters remain a vital focus. To our members navigating the anxiety and uncertainty of this moment: WLCJ is here for you. We pray deeply for the physical safety of all who are in harm's way and for a lasting peace to blanket the region.

TERRY WINSTON AND STAYING CONNECTED

With online programs, meetings, and resources, she can engage on her own schedule, continue learning, and build meaningful connections. It’s a flexible way to stay involved even when traditional sisterhood membership isn’t feasible. Read why she believes membership is a gift worth recognizing.

Parashat Ki Tisa
This week’s parashah is best known for the golden calf, which the Levites and women did not join, earning them lasting spiritual rewards—Levites assisting in worship, and women Rosh Chodesh. Moses asks to see God, but God shields him, letting him see only God’s back, interpreted as the tefilin knot. Moses carves new tablets, and God declares the Thirteen Attributes of mercy, showing forgiveness and teaching prayer structure with a tallit. By wearing tallit and tefilin each morning, we emulate God, beginning the day in prayer, while hoping for a secure right to pray at the Egalitarian Kotel.
