ROSH CHODESH ELUL - LIVESTREAM AT THE KOTEL
Thurs | Aug 13 | 12:00 am ET
Shema Koleinu – "Hear Our Voice."
As the women of WLCJ, please join the Women of the Wall on Rosh Chodesh Elul to show our support as they raise their voices in prayer to welcome the sacred preparation period for the High Holidays and Yom Kippur.
Our comments on the Facebook livestream should be uplifting voices to drown out the taunts of those heckling them at the Kotel. A woman’s voice in prayer should be of a blessing.

We look forward to a wonderful year of sharing with our WLCJ women, from book chats to recommending books and meeting fascinating authors. In 2027, we will launch WL Youth for our younger population.
To get us started, WL Reads has a new recommendation: The Well of Compassion: Reflections on the Art of Spiritual, by Rabbi Judith Edelman-Green.
A groundbreaking exploration of compassionate care across faiths and cultures, this book is written for a world facing uncertainty and crisis, the book offers meaningful insights and practical tools to help us teach, learn, heal, and cope—both as individuals and as communities.

I Believe Israeli Women - Sign the Letter
I Believe Israeli Women is a global community of people who stand in solidarity with Israeli women, men, and children, acknowledge the sexual violence of October 7, counter the denialism and disinformation, and fight against terrorism that threatens the security and human rights of women.
The fresh wave of denial and disinformation serves as an urgent reminder that the work at I Believe Israeli Women is not over.
Earlier this month, on Hasan Piker’s streaming program, Norman Finkelstein falsely claimed that in the absence of video footage, there is no evidence Hamas committed sexual violence against Israelis on October 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, a newly released UN report on violence against mothers by the Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls fails to acknowledge the Israeli mothers, women, and children still living with the trauma of October 7.
Denial and disinformation do not disappear. They resurface through new voices, platforms, and contexts, underscoring the need for clear, evidence-based responses.
Add your name to IBIW’s open letter calling on the UN to address Reem Alsalem’s pattern of minimizing, dismissing, and denying the atrocities of October 7.
